Its Flower Sale Time!
Enclosed is a copy of this years flower order form.
Mary Ann Mangold has provided us with a great selection.
Orders are due to Mary Ann by Saturday, May 12. Pick up
has been moved to Saturday, May 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00
p.m. The later date ensures that the plants will be best
quality the grower can provide. Be sure to ask friends,
family and neighbors if they are interested in ordering
from us. Thanks for supporting our group with your orders!

live racing while we enjoy lunch. We need a minimum of 20
to have lunch provided to us. Please RSVP to Katie Meyer
at meyerkate@aol.com.
Parking prices range from $2-3 and seating ranges from
free grandstand seating to $5. We will decide as a group
where we will sit the day of the event.
Heart Ball 2001
The Heart Ball was on Saturday, February 17 at the
Northern Kentucky Convention Center and raised almost $270,000
for cardiac research. It was fun a filled evening of
dinner and dancing with a large, diverse silent auction
and some live auction items, too.
Carol Glotfelter was chairwoman of the silent auction.
Mary Ellen Trunick assisted with the guest list and was
instrumental in organizing the silent auction the week
before the event.
It's a fun event for a great cause. Next year well
try to have an Alpha Phi table!
Regional Conference
Our Regional Conference was held in February, and Kate OHara
was our delegate. She had a great time at the
conference...I was able to meet with other alumnae
representatives and exchange ideas for programming,
newsletters, and member retention.
Many groups are interested in targeting younger
members and were interested in our Ivy Connection group.
It was great to have time to interact with collegiate
chapters as well to learn what they would like alumni
chapters to do in support of their chapters.
Regional Leadership
International is currently accepting applications for
Regional Managers. Regional Managers take office in the
Spring of the non-Convention year and serve for a term of
two years. The primary role is to facilitate
communication within the region, identify and analyze the
Regions needs, challenges and opportunities, and
recommend actions to be taken. The Regional Manager is
instrumental in the resolution of issues, and works in
collaboration with the Executive Office, regional team
members and local volunteers to coordinate resources to
ensure Alpha Phi strength regionally. The Regional
Manager shall act as a spokesperson to the region on
behalf of Alpha Phi International Fraternity.
If you are interested in more information, please contact
Carrie Fulton at fultoncs@yahoo.com.

10. Jacob Nelson Fulton was born at 4:46 p.m. and was 7
lbs. and 14 oz. Parents and baby are doing fine. You can

us for lunch at Unos on Walnut, across from the
Aronoff Center at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday April 24. The
nearest public parking is at Fountain Square. RSVP by
April 20 to Sandi at sstraet@danpinger.com.
Phis and Food
Unfortunately our wine tasting had to be cancelled. We
were notified by Chateau Pomije that the restaurant would
not be open the evening of February 20 because they did
not have enough reservations to make it a profitable
night for them. If there is an interest, we will
reschedule the event for next year.
Panhel Update
This year, the Cincinnati Alumnae Panhellenic Council
will be awarding two scholarships. To raise the money,
they will be selling Parisian coupons for $5 each. You
will receive 20% off your purchase when you shop Saturday
May 5 from 6:00-10:00 a.m.
They will also be doing a fund-raiser at the Kiln on June
4 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Cost is $15 a person for supplies
and time fee plus the cost of your piece of pottery.
Anyone is interested in these events can contact
Christina Dennin for more information.
Gamma Nu Update
Karen Wannamacher is putting together a group of women to
help Gamma Nu prepare for Recruitment next year. If you
are interested, please contact her at wannemacher_k@fairfield-city.k12.oh.us.
Your experience is needed to help the chapter continue to
grow and develop.
Ivy Connection Update
Our most recent event was on February 8 when six sisters
enjoyed a dinner at TGI Fridays. It was so much fun
to get caught up with one another. The next chance to get
together will be at Kate OHaras apartment on
Sunday, April 22 at 3:00 p.m. We will be breaking out the
rolling pins and baking cookies to take to Gamma Nu later
that week. We all remember how a little home cooking can
boost spirits just before exams.
Join us for Senior Ceremony and cookie delivery at Gamma
Nu on Wednesday, April 25. We will meet at the Wendy's on
Colerain Avenue and 275 at 4:30 p.m. If you cannot make
this early time, please feel free to join us in Miami
when you can make it.
Dinner and a movie anyone? Meet us at the food court at
the Kenwood Mall on Wednesday, June 20 at 6:30 p.m. right
by the stairs in the food court We will grab a bite to
eat in the food court and then head into a movie at the
theater in the mall. No time for a movie...join us for
dinner anyway. We'd love to see you.
Bring a dish and a friend, family member, or significant
other to Erin Messersmiths for a cookout on Sunday,
July 22 at 1:00 p.m. Erin will supply the meat for the
grill. BYOB and a sidedish. - a great recipe for fun!
In August we will be returning to the Party in the Park.
We will meet at 5:30 p.m. on August 15 right by the live
band. There is always plenty of food and drink. Party in
the Park is located right by the Serpentine Wall at
Sawyer Point
The Ivy Connection is a group aimed at the interests of
sisters who graduated in the past ten years. However, we
enjoy having all area alumnae join us. If you have any
questions, you can contact Kate O'Hara or Erin
Messersmith.
We need your input!
We will be sending out a survey via e-mail in May. Your
input is extremely valuable as we plan events for next
year. We need your ideas to have exciting new events
while keeping your favorites.
