January 2002 NewsletterOur Newest MemberAs you may already know, in December, we extended a
bid to Micki Glotfelter to join our sisterhood. Micki is
Carol Glotfelters daughter and a recent graduate of
UC. She works at Good Samaritan Hospital as an RN and is
taking classes to become a massage therapist. Officers SlatedCarol Glotfelter, Erin Messersmith, Katie Meyer and Kate OHara met earlier this month to compile the slate for the 2002-2004 term. The slate is as follows: President - Melissa Cox (Miami) We will be voting on this slate at the March meeting,
and if you have any comments or concerns, you are urged
to contact either Carol Glotfelter or Carrie Fulton as
soon as possible. Spring EventsWe will be painting pottery at Cafe Monet in Blue Ash
on March 9 at 7:00 p.m. Take some time out before spring
fever hits to create a wonderful item to decorate your
house this spring. Flower Sale 2002We have made a change of plans with our annual Flower
Sale. Due to the major competition we face with other
groups selling hanging and bedding plants during the
spring, we have decided to sell fall mums and decorative
cabbage instead. Youve got questions? Weve got answers!We all have moments when we have questions and cant
find that piece of paper or e-mail with the answer. You

Alpha Phi Introduces New Tagline and LogoIn an effort to convey a consistent look and message
for all Alpha Phi communications and create a universal
identity with which Alpha Phi will regularly be
associated, Alpha Phi Fraternity has embarked on an image
campaign. Take a moment to look to the top of this page
at our Fraternitys new logo and read below for the
explanation of the logo: News from Gamma NuRecruitment at Miami was amazing. With the help of
many alumnae including Carol Glotfelter, Natalie Baird,
Kate OHara and Karen Frey, the women gained 55 new
members.
Heart Ball 2002The American Heart Associations annual Heart
Ball was on Saturday, January 26. Many thanks to Melissa
Cox, Tammy Fales, Carol Glotfelter and Mary Ellen Trunick
for all your hard work and for representing us so well!
Initial reports are that the event raised about $275,000
to support cardiac research in Cincinnati. Convention 2002Convention will be from June 25 to 30 at the Westin La
Paloma in Tucson, Arizona. Please let Carrie Fulton know
if you would like more information. Holiday Party RecapWe had a wonderful time at the annual Holiday Party.
Elizabeth Thornton was kind enough to open her home to us. Ivy Connection UpdateIn February, we had a 11 members of all ages go to PF
Changs for dinner. Everyone had a great time getting to
know one another better and reconnecting with old friends.
